Roma is an endless discovery that brings you so many different meanings of “beauty”.
The most refined visitors and culture lovers will find numerous art galleries and exhibitions off the traditional tourist paths in Roma, where they can discover precious gems and a collection of treasures capable of making their business stay exclusive and unforgettable.
Artistic treasures
For architecture lovers, we suggest MAXXI, the National Museum of 21st Century Arts, designed and built by architect Zaha Hadid, in the Flaminio district. The museum, founded in 2010 and managed by the MAXXI Foundation, is the first national institution dedicated to contemporary creativity and within its structure hosts two distinct museums: MAXXI Arte and MAXXI Architettura.

Another place to visit in the same area is the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, which houses the most complete collection dedicated to Italian and foreign art between the 19th and 21st centuries.
Crossing the luxurious and monumental Villa Borghese, you arrive at the sumptuous and baroque Galleria Borghese – one of the most amazing museums of the Eternal city.
Galleria Borghese (c) Blackcat
The Gallery is the custodian of the private art collection of Cardinal Scipione Borghese and includes, among its infinite treasures of inestimable value, some of the highest expressions of Renaissance art in Italy.
Art and history combined
Ara Pacis ingresso (c) Zetema
Approaching the historic centre, along Lungotevere in Augusta, the Ara Pacis museum welcomes you, to a magnificent example of a fusion of antiquity and modernity. This is one of the greatest artistic works of the Ancients, built to celebrate the consolidation of Rome’s power under Augustus, after his victories north of the Alps between 16 and 13 BC. The current museum complex, entirely redesigned by Richard Meier, stands as a structure capable of conserving this monument while also creating a museum area, which perfectly harmonises the style of the Ancients and works with contemporary appeal.
Moving to the area of Ostiense, Centrale Montemartini is the perfect place to experience the meeting between ancient and modern.
Museo Centrale Montemartini (c) Zetema
Formerly an important power plant built in 1900; nowadays it represents an extraordinary example of the conversion of an industrial archaeology building into a museum, a space where classical sculpture and industrial machines catch your attention and your curiosity.
Shopping and F&B Experiences
Alongside its countless places of interest, Roma is also a lively, glamorous city, where luxury and glitz dominate everywhere. To combine art, fashion and shopping, we recommend visiting the Trident area, inside the historic centre.
At the foot of the Spanish Steps, all the big names are concentrated: here you will find jewellers and ateliers of the main Italian and international stylists and artisans: a succession of elegant and flashy shops capable of enchanting and captivating you, together with small luxury boutiques, of artisan quality.
Roma is the city of panoramas par excellence and its strategic position on seven hills seems to fully confirm this title. The Eternal City has an infinite number of viewpoints, but among them, the most beautiful are guaranteed by top-notch hotel facilities that accompany a breath-taking view with impeccable service. For a refreshing break during or after your shopping tour, there is nothing compared with an aperitif, lunch or dinner in these hotels with restaurants of the highest level.
Even the airport has its benefits
Not to be missed, even on the return journey, is the luxury shopping experience of the Tax-Free Mall at Rome Fiumicino Airport: with more than 50 shops of the best high fashion brands, international and Made in Italy. If your destination is a non-EU country, you can make the most of the items by purchasing with the usual 22% VAT rate removed.
Furthermore, Rome Fiumicino airport represents pure excellence also from the point of view of safety against the spread of Covid-19. The airport was the first in the world to be certified with the “COVID-19 5-Star Airport Rating”, by the international air transport rating agency Skytrax, and – among other certifications – was the first among EU airports to obtain airport Health Accreditation from the International Airport Council.
Meeting and Business Travel
Roma is the perfect city for your meeting/business travel, since its vocation of gathering people has ancient roots, because of religion, politics and art.
The city itself is a masterpiece of art and, for those who have the fortune to work in Rome, it is an incredible background for daily business. Moreover, Rome has been developing an efficient cohort of venues, facilities and infrastructures to host visitors from all over the world, in small and large numbers.
Modern and large buildings – like the Rome Exhibition Centre “Fiera di Roma”, the brand-new Conference Centre “La Nuvola” (designed by the international architect Massimiliano Fuksas) and the Auditorium Parco della Musica, a wonderful compound for music, art and meetings/events – provide a counterpart to the numerous historical Palaces centrally located in the heart of the city, which can host both meetings and social events in breath-taking halls where nobles used to meet hundreds of years ago, enlightened by the beauty of famous paintings and statues.
Roma, a centre of hospitality
Roma will warmly welcome everyone who is passing by its alleys and squares: our hospitality is renowned; from the first pilgrims who arrived in Roma to today, we are well equipped with all the technology, comfort and safety required by contemporary travellers.
Organising your events here means adding a lot of emotions, feelings and surprising atmospheres to participants’ experience. Going from one place to another is not just moving, is something more: it means taking a trip through different ages of human civilization, travelling among different cultures and what those cultures have been leaving to the rest of the world. Eating and drinking won’t just be a social event: it will be tasting local traditions, ancient flavours, unexpected combinations and classic recipes.
Roma is more than you expect: Roma is Roma!
